Purpose of the Role

He/she is the focal point for managing the safety and security needs across the Organisation and he works in close contact with Regional Coordinators and Country Representatives deployed around the world.

The Security manager will plan his work according to the priorities defined by the Organisation and he reports directly to the head of the HR department.


Main tasks and responsibilities

The Security Manager is responsible for ensuring security in all WeWorld operations, supporting staff in various missions, and providing technical expertise on security management.

He/she leads, supports, and suggests mitigation actions in the process of security risk analysis of the Organization's overseas operations and maintaining an effective security network at office locations, with both internal and external partners.

The Security Manager tasked with monitoring adherence to security plans, producing analysis and reports, and conducting field missions as needed. The role involves drafting and updating Country Security Plans, offering technical support for context analysis and risk assessments, and providing guidance during critical incidents.

He/she develops, promotes, updates and monitors the application of the measures included in the policies adopted by the organization on security and compliance.

Promotes staff training with particular regard to the figures delegated to security in-country.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTES

Qualifications and Knowledge

• Master’s degree preferred or a bachelor’s degree

• English and French (Italian nice to have)

Professional experience

• At least 5 years in the position with relevant experience in international relations, regional studies, security, or a related field is required

Skills and Abilities

• Availability to field trips if needed

• Positive attitude, self-motivated and have a passion for the mission of the Organisation

• Analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work with flexibility, efficiency, enthusiasm, and diplomacy both individually and collaboratively as part of a team effort
